Drinking Around The Universe

Are you tired of seeing everyone at Epcot having fun drinking around the world? Well now you can enjoy the same at Universal Orlando Resort! I have designed the best loop for you to have a blast around the parks. Be WARNED IT IS HARD! YOU WILL NEED A DD OR UBER/LYFT!

Welcome everyone to my blog on Drinking Around the Universe! This idea came from the fact that my families absolute favorite thing to do at Disney was to drink around the world. However, as we have gotten older.....not that old.....we have come to realize that Disney is getting for younger and younger crowds. Sooooo we decided to try and come up with a Universal version of the great DRINKING AROUND THE WORLD CHALLENGE......(INSERT ECHO HERE). Thus began my two month long process of research.

“Why can't I just drink myself silly, ride a ton of rides, and make fun of kids yelling at parents? Man I wish we could have some sort of drinking game that challenges my liver.”

The beginning of this research stemmed from me trying to find another person of like mindedness that may have already put together a loop and would have saved me like 2 million hours of my time. But alas, sir Google turned up zip. There were just 12 Instagram posts with the hashtag DRINKINGAROUNDTHEUNIVERSE so dang, I would have to figure something out on my own.

The BEGINNING

Well as it turned out it was not going to be easy as EPCOT has a literal loop built in and was already really set up to be able to do this kind of challenge. I wanted to design a loop that would take you to both parks and either end or begin at the gate entrance. This was much easier said then done. To make a VERY long story short I ended up having to research each land of the park and each restaurant or pop up kiosk to see if each one had a specific type of drink that could only be found at that location. Then I had to make sure you couldn't (EASILY) find it in other parts of the park. This ended up being a lot harder then it seemed and I ended up using quite a bit of information off other blogs (*cough* thank you Orlando informer *cough*) to figure out which spots in the park had special drinks. Now some lands were more difficult as they do not serve alcohol or they have the same generic Heineken or whatever beers as all the rest of the park. Obviously I did not include those on the list of places to hit, but note: that you can just get normal beer around the park.

The PLAN:

Alright, so after the crazy amount of research I found the specialty drinks at each land and then had to develop a usable loop where you wouldn't have to double back a far distance. So the loop was created and developed and then I put in on paper.

So the loop was born and then I spent absolutely what felt like forever creating a usable document to print in order to put on Shirts for both the back loop and a cool custom front logo that had all of the lands you would be visiting on this adventure.

I just used the 4 colored shirts version of the transfer paper you can get at Walmart or any Office supply store. All they take is an iron and a plain shirt with basic colors. In all it cost about $6.00 a shirt.
